Japanese

Japanese is spoken by about 125 million people, primarily in Japan, where it is the national language. The Japanese economy is the third largest economy in the world, with a GDP of $4.87 trillion in 2018. Due to this economic strength, Japanese translations and interpretations have been increasing steadily over the last years.

Japanese does not seem to be related to other languages. The language has a complex system of honorifics, with verb forms and vocabulary to indicate the relative status of the speaker, the listener and any other people involved.

In other words, there are numerous levels of respect and politeness, which makes it especially important for the linguists to be thoroughly familiar with Japanese culture and sensitive to Japanese customs. It is essential to adapt the translations to culture and customs. This adaptation is called cultural localization.

Our Japanese projects consist primarily of patent, legal, business, marketing and personal documents, but also include countless other fields.
